Sponsoring a child is a personal way to show God’s love to a child in need. Sponsoring a child is more than just giving money, your gift brings hope and the light of the living God into the life of a child, and that is priceless. As a child sponsor, you will receive a package with information about your child and your child’s photo. You will also receive a letter from your child twice a year, a progress report, an updated photo of your child once a year, and an opportunity to help your child in various ways.
We believe every child deserves a chance. Often older children are overlooked and yet face many of the same needs as younger children. When it comes to sponsorship, people are usually drawn to the younger children. But, there are many wonderful reasons why sponsoring an older child would be a blessing. To note one, being older, you might find that you have a more rewarding letter writing relationship with an older child. For $45 per month a youth has an opportunity to go to high school. You can make a difference in their future today.
For just $50 per month you give a young woman an opportunity to enroll in a one-year course at the Kalaya Vocational Training Centre to learn a skill in catering or tailoring that will help them break the cycle of poverty in their lives. Sponsoring a young woman at Kalaya also provides them with counseling and education for female rape survivors victimized by the Lord’s Resistance Army and war in Northern Uganda. Through our sponsorship program, they would now have a way to learn a skill and provide for their daily needs and their future.
By your support and efforts, a harvest of hope and well-being can been realized in the lives of many the Lord has brought to the ministry of Windows of Hope. For $50 a month you can help a youth reach their full potential by getting a university education. Since most courses can cost as much as $200 per month, in such cases a youth might need multiple sponsors. Your monthly gift will cover tuition, meals, housing and scholastic material. You will receive an informational package about your sponsored student and a photo.
