Windows of Hope International Children’s Ministry

Jacqui (USA) and the late Wesley Forde (Trinidad & Tobago) founders of Windows of Hope spent more than twenty years in Uganda. After seeing how wars, HIV/AIDS, poverty and hardship had negatively impacted the lives of children. They began the ministry by showing God’s love in practical ways to vulnerable and orphan children, who had lost all hope for a better future. Give a HOPE and a FUTURE one child at a time was conceived from Jeremiah 29:11…

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.

Throughout Uganda they saw many children who were deprived of an education. They opened their heart and home to provide a supportive home environment to orphan and vulnerable children and provided educational, nutritional, medical and spiritual support to help them reach their full potential in life. They realized that children and youth in various communities were in need of help and lacked the resources for their education and a sponsorship scheme was developed.

Windows of Hope has been committed to reaching the present generation in Uganda with the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Our ministry has evolved and grown from the initial baby steps of giving hope to AIDS orphans. Over the years we have witnessed children whose lives were filled with hopelessness and despair have now found a purpose and meaning for their lives. The same children are now having a positive impact in the lives of others. When we see how God is using these children, it makes us want to do more. God has expanded our work to helping poverty stricken communities, strengthening families and local churches. We are committed to helping build strong Christian families in Uganda because we know that is how the nation will be strengthened to the glory of God.

Committed to reaching the present generation in Uganda with the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
